Plural Cinemas

This group discussion focuses on issues related to the underrepresentation of diversity in cinema production, focusing on systemic exclusion to financing, access to professionalization and safety on sets. More than twenty filmmakers from communities that identify as Indigenous, LGBTQ2S+, from ethnocultural diversity or individuals with disabilities share their unique situations as well as their common demands to create better practices towards a more inclusive film community.

This activity will take place in two parts :
8H30-10H - Closed sessions
10H30-12H - Public group discussion

A best practices document will be made available following the activity

In English and in French.
Open to Forum pass-holders and Forum RIDM à la carte Day 3 ticket-holders.
