Bury Me, My Love

Enterre-moi, mon amour (“bury me, my love,” an Arab expression meaning “take care of yourself”) is an interactive mobile experience based on a text messaging system allowing users to immerse themselves in the life of Nour, a Syrian migrant, as she makes her way to Europe. Through her conversations with her husband Majd, back home in Syria, we enter a complete, richly detailed reality, with all its pain and anxiety, along with everyday happenings. Inspired by true stories and made in collaboration with journalist Lucie Soullier, who wrote an investigative report for Le Monde about the journey of Dana, a Syrian migrant now living in Germany, Enterre-moi, mon amour underscores the importance of the intimate connections migrants maintain with their loved ones back home.
