The Enemy

Ennemi transports us to face-to-face meetings between combatants, who share their testimonials and confessions, in three conflict zones: El Salvador with its maras gangs, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Israel and Palestine. Eschewing the usual battle images shown in the media, Ennemi gives voice to those who are given to violence, exposing their motivations and dreams, to help us better understand, perhaps, their humanity. Based on the work of war photographer Karim Ben Khelifa, Ennemi combines a VR installation and an augmented-reality application. The work invites you to meet the combatants, listen to them speak, and connect with the Ennemi community.

Presented in the UXdoc Space
Pavillon Judith-Jasmin Annexe (JE), 1564 Saint-Denis, first floor
November 9 to 19, from noon to 7pm
Rate: 5$
